The Evolution Of Removal

Many funeral homes still use an old panel van when taking the deceased into their care, but this can be false economy when you weigh in the potential marketing downsides. Which is where the Binz Vito comes into the picture, speaking volumes about your business with Mercedes-Benz branding, and Binz attention to detail.

Raising The Bar For The New Year

As each generation of E-Class becomes safer, more comfortable and more capable, so each new Binz vehicle model follows suit. The latest incarnation of the Binz four door hearse is no exception, and includes drowsiness detection, PRE-SAFE proactive occupant protection system and adaptive airbags. Detail specifications will follow soon, but for now, here's a taster of what's to come.

New 6-door Binz Limousine Makes Debut

Incorporating all the safety innovations of the 'next generation' Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the new Binz limousine combines contemporary styling with exceptional levels of occupant comfort. Binz's designers have worked with the new car's rising wedge-shaped profile to create a six-door body style whose subtle lines now refocus attention on its passengers. A vehicle whose tapering glass area hints at both privacy from the outside, and for those within, protection from the world without.

Full specifications, delivery information and prices will be available shortly. For a temporary information sheet click here.

Estate Of The Art

Or should that be art of the estate? It may not be available for another few months, but the estate version of the E-Class is already making waves. Whether you are looking to complement an all-Binz fleet with a multiple purpose vehicle, or are simply finding that there are some areas where even a Vito retrieval vehicle is just not discreet enough, the new E-Class estate is well worth a look.

And for private hire operators seeking that little bit extra load space without the utilitarian stigma that so easily attaches itself to an MPV, now at last is a vehicle that manages to combine taste with space. To read what Mercedes-Benz themselves have to say about the car, click here.

Reborn E-Class makes European debut 'in the metal' at Geneva Motor Show

Fuel consumption improved by up 23 per cent, emissions down and a revised air-suspension option that now includes electronically-controlled adaptive damping, place this latest incarnation of the E-Class well ahead of the front-runners in the 'luxury express' sector. A 30 per cent stiffer bodyshell, allied to no-less than seven airbags for the saloon and a pop-up bonnet feature to increase deformation volume in this critical area – automatically activated by the PRE-SAFE system - marks out the contiunuing work done by Mercedes-Benz to improve occupant safety. Perfect Palm for Perfect Finish

Applying polish, cleaner and wax to car bodywork is a tougher job than it looks – especially if you have an extended limousine to do. Now those clever people at Autoglym have come up with an ergonomic applicator that allows you to work with the palm of the hand extended, rather than constantly having to tense the muscles in gripping a conventional wad of cloth, minimising fatigue of the forearm Called Perfect Palm, the applicator comes with either a microfibre or foam pad, and is claimed to be sized to fit 97 per cent of most UK adults.

 EBAY ALERT
A Binz for under 10K?  It is too good to be true.

A 2004 Mercedes E270 hearse is currently being listed on Ebay UK. This is a Binz 5 door hearse that is described as "being up and running" and "registered as low-level Cat D flood damage". This vehicle is known to us, and has in fact been left standing in water in last year's floods to the level of the dashboard. We have so far had no requests for any unique-to-Binz spare parts for this vehicle, so cannot vouch for any of the claims made by the seller as to its fitness for purpose, or correct functionality of on-board safety and other electronic systems. Binz UK Ltd. wishes to disassociate itself from this vehicle and the seller.

Hoops or Loopholes?

The issue of the legality of limousines is something that most funeral directors have never really had to worry about. Technically their limousines should have hackney carriage plates, but most UK councils are happy to test the vehicles and allow their use as funeral cars without showing their plates.

However, in recent years the UK has become inundated with American style stretch limousines which not only stretch the chassis but also the law - and their operation is said by the Police to be used as a front for further questionable practices  ...
