 Mercedes E-Class 5 Door Hearse
Designed specifically for the needs of the British Isles and Eire funeral director, this Binz hearse can carry a full complement of five bearers and still accommodate a large casket.
Subtly curved and optically-clear glass provides an uninterrupted view of the casket/coffin and floral tributes.
A unique-to-Binz silent rise and fall deck facilitates a safe and dignified transfer of the deceased from hearse to shoulder at graveside or crematorium. On the 5 seat hearse, this entire deck area is also rendered airier and less sombre than would otherwise be the case, thanks to overhead natural light illumination through a glass roof. Yet another feature unique to Binz.
Built on the Mercedes-Benz VF 212 extended E-class platform, the Binz hearse will safely accommodate most of the larger American pattern caskets. Mercedes E-Class 3 Door Hearse
Our three door hearse is based upon the E-280, delivered in Mercedes-Benz Elegance specification complete with air conditioning, Artico black man-made leather trim and tyre pressure monitoring. Smaller than its bigger 5 seat brother it may be, yet the design bristles with those detail touches that people have come to expect from a coachbuilder such as Binz.
Present is the same optically-clear curved glass which gives added prominence to floral tributes and casket, which rest on a burr walnut finish deck, softly lit by halogen lighting set into the solid roof above. The casket deck itself has rollers fitted, together with a full complement of brightwork, and includes a set of extra-width coffin stops.
The entire assembly will slide out from the rear of the hearse by up to one metre, to ease the task of shouldering the deceased, and when unloading flowers. Underneath is a roomy stowage compartment accessible from both sides for trestles, lowering tapes, a collapsible trolley or even umbrellas.
