Welch Fleet Turns To Binz

Tim Welch of A Welch & Sons of Herne Bay recently took delivery of a brand new hearse and two limousines from Binz. The Mercedes-Benz extended-chassis E-Class based fleet will also serve the firm's two other funeral homes in Whitstable and Canterbury.

When asked why he had opted for Binz his response was surprising. "I liked the cars, but that's not why I bought them," said Tim Welch. "I bought the cars because I liked the way Binz operate, I like the people at Binz, and I like the way they handle issues - and of course, I liked the cars."

Tim Welch also commented that one of the things about great design is that it is unobtrusive. Something that comes not just from function dictating form, but where the stylist's vision flows into a finished coachwork sketch in a single flourish of a Rotring drafting pen. Which is precisely why the sleek lines of a Binz vehicle never look out of place, because they always just look as if they were meant to be.

With a tradition of service dating back to 1948 as funeral directors in their own right, A. Welch & Sons sets itself a high standard and that includes attention to every last detail. Tim explained, "People don't really notice the cars at a funeral . However, they do notice the faults. With the Binz quality of finish that's one less worry for my team."
